BIOGRAPHIES

Catarina Aleluia


Graduated with a degree in Visual Art/Painting at the Faculty of Fine Art of Lisbon, where she specialised in Mosaic and research in Museum Studies, Archaeology and Patrimony. At the moment, Catarina Aleluia is currently preparing her master's thesis as part of her Master's Degree in Painting, in the field of Public Art at the Faculty of Fine Art of the University of Lisbon.

She has experience and training in education and accessibility in museums, contemporary art, curatorship and organising and running activities for children and young people.

As well as working for the Casa das Histórias Education Service, Catarina Aleluia is an artist, working primarily with painting and mosaic and exhibiting regularly since 2005. In September 2009 she received an Honourable Mention from the Museu Jorge Vieira/Casa das Artes at the XVI Galeria Aberta Exhibition in Beja.


Diana Silva

Graduated with a degree in History of Art at the Faculty of Social Sciences in the New University of Lisbon. Diana Silva underwent her training course in History of Art at the National Pantheon in Lisbon where she worked investigating for the writing of contents of the virtual sightseeing tool.

As well as working for the Casa das Histórias Education Service, Diana Silva is currently preparing her master's thesis as part of her Master's Degree in Museology and Museography at the Faculty of Fine Art of the University of Lisbon.


Joana Macedo


Graduated with a degree in History of Art at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto, with experience and training in education and communication with museum visitors in several institutions. Joana Macedo is also a teacher and has experience in alternative educational models.

In the past, besides working as a teacher and educator, Joana Macedo also underwent a training course as museum technician with the City Council of Viseu.

As well as working for the Casa das Histórias Education Service, Joana Macedo is currently preparing her master's thesis for a Master's Degree in History of Art at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the New University of Lisbon.


Mariana Pinto


Graduated with a degree in Visual Art/Painting at the Faculty of Fine Art of the University of Lisbon, where she specialised in Mosaic, Anthropology and Drawing. Mariana Pinto has training in scriptwriting as well as in youth work.

As well as working for the Casa das Histórias Education Service, Mariana Pinto devellops her work and research as an artist in the fields of drawing, manufacturing of paper and mosaic.


Susana Pires

Graduated in History with a minor in Literature and a Master's Degree in Theory of Literature at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She is currently taking her PhD in Philosophy in the field of Aesthetics at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the New University of Lisbon.

Between 2008 and 2011 Susana Pires worked as a literature and essays translater, from french to portuguese, for Bertrand and Estrofes & Versos publishing houses.

She has experience in mediation and education in museological context, acquired at the Arts Education Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's CAM, where she continues to collaborate in the conception and mediation of short stories workshops.
